The Wall of Hope is a huge site, unique in its kind, not only in Italy: the building is 30 meters long, 3 meters high and one meter thick, for its construction will be used only recycled material (plastic, glass, foil, wood, paper), assembled with “earthship” techniques, aimed at creating an institutional space dedicated to Street Art in its most ancient declension, the murals.

The walls of the Wall of Hope have been used as a canvas in a competition organised for students of the Comprehensive Institutes of the South Western Area of Basilicata.

The action will bring internationally renowned street artists (each edition will have its performer) to Rivello, who will have to transpose the ideas / proposals of primary and secondary school pupils into murals; the pupils will be called to discuss in a competitive forum about the basic subjects of European citizenship.

The two winners of the 2017 edition, one for primary schools and one for secondary schools, will have the privilege of seeing their compositions transformed into murals.
