This route starts from the historic center of Maratea, arrives at the top of Mount San Biagio and then goes back to the centre of Maratea, and is about 5 km long.

It starts from Piazza Vitolo, then crosses the historic centre and reaches Capocasale. From here, you take the path that runs along the southern slope of Mount San Biagio and you arrive in Santa Caterina. Then you go up towards the statue of Christ the Redeemer passing through the ancient village of Maratea Castello. From here, passing through the Pontifical Basilica of San Biagio, descend to the Madonna degli Ulivi hermitage and continue along a path that passes through the Carpini wood and goes back to the historic centre.
